Position: SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary Focus (Full-time & Part-time Options)

Location: St Helens, Merseyside

Hourly Rate: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support primary-aged pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis, catering to individual needs.
  • Work with children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and communication challenges.
  • Assist teachers and the SENDCo with creating and implementing personalised learning plans, behaviour strategies, and targeted interventions.
  • Use creative, sensory, and play-based activities to help pupils engage with learning.
  • Foster positive behaviour, emotional regulation, self-confidence, and independence.
  • Collaborate closely with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure the most effective support is in place.
