About the Role:
We are excited to partner with a forward-thinking SEND primary school in St Helens that is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
- Support primary-aged pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis, catering to individual needs.
- Work with children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and communication challenges.
- Assist teachers and the SENDCo with creating and implementing personalised learning plans, behaviour strategies, and targeted interventions.
- Use creative, sensory, and play-based activities to help pupils engage with learning.
- Foster positive behaviour, emotional regulation, self-confidence, and independence.
- Collaborate closely with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure the most effective support is in place.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Experience working with SEND, ideally in a primary or specialist school, though those with care sector or residential experience are encouraged to apply.
- A patient, kind, resilient, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting young learners.
