About the Role
Aspire People are currently recruiting a passionate, qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3) for a fantastic primary school in St Helens, with a focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This vibrant, inclusive school offers a nurturing environment for pupils aged 4 - 11 years, including those in their dedicated SEND bases.
As a qualified TA, you'll play a key role in supporting students both within the classroom and in 1:1 or small group settings, adapting your approach to meet the needs of each child. This is a brilliant opportunity to apply your skills and qualifications while making a real difference in the lives of young learners.
What We're Looking For:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a SEND setting (but not essential).
- Ability to support children in the classroom as well as in small group and 1:1 sessions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and social development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of students.
