About the Role

Deliver an inclusive PE programme for students aged 8–18, fostering teamwork, confidence and a lifelong appreciation for health. Occasionally cover lessons in other subjects to support the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a broad range of physical activities, both curricular and extracurricular.
  • Support students in developing physical skills, confidence and a positive attitude toward sport.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs, competitions and events.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to contribute to students' personal development and well-being.
  • Encourage participation, celebrate effort and build self-esteem through physical achievement.
  • Cover in other subjects as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in sports, coaching or physical education (QTS not required).
  • Confidence leading lessons in a pool (beneficial but not essential).
  • Coaching experience across a variety of sports; dance and yoga experience beneficial.
  • Experience with children/young people, ideally in an educational or SEN/SEMH setting.
  • Positive, patient and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
