Are you a patient, resilient, and adaptable individual looking to make a real difference in a child's educational journey? I am currently recruiting to support an innovative specialist primary setting that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, MLD, and SEMH. This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping young learners overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
About the Role
- Work closely with pupils who require tailored support due to additional learning needs and challenging behaviours.
- Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the class teacher with planning, delivering, and adapting learning activities.
- Use de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies to support pupil engagement.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage progress and boost confidence.
About You
- Calm, reliable, and able to think on their feet.
- Passionate about supporting children with diverse needs.
- Confident in building rapport and managing challenging behaviour.
- Understanding and empathetic, with a pupil-centred approach.
- Experienced in SEN (desirable), though candidates with the right attitude and transferable skills will also be considered.
