Overview

Primary School Teaching Assistant (SEN) in Rochdale (OL16). A Specialist Provision attached to a mainstream Primary. Multiple full-time and part-time roles available with short-term and long-term positions and varied start dates. Competitive rate: 90 – 110 per day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general support within the class and work collaboratively with other Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and the class teachers.
  • Help create positive relationships with pupils and encourage positive choices and behaviour.
  • Support pupils with additional needs in a specialist provision for MLD, ASC, SCLN, SpLD, Visual impairments and Hearing Impairment (HI).
  • Adapt to the needs of a varied timetable across long-term and short-term contracts, including full-time and part-time shifts.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Open to graduates, experienced SEN support staff, or candidates with care/youth work backgrounds.
  • Willingness to commit to a school on a long-term basis for certain roles and/or to cover short-term absences.
