About the Role: As the Food Technology Teacher, you'll deliver engaging practical lessons that develop cooking skills, food preparation techniques, nutrition knowledge and kitchen safety. You'll encourage students to work collaboratively, build confidence and develop independence while adapting learning to suit individual needs and abilities. Every lesson will provide opportunities for students to experience success through practical achievement.

What We're Looking For:

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Food Technology
  • Excellent practical kitchen management skills
  • Ability to motivate students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong behaviour management and safeguarding knowledge
  • Positive, patient and resilient approach

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in Alternative Provision or specialist settings
  • Knowledge of vocational qualifications
  • Experience supporting SEMH learners
  • Food Hygiene qualifications
