Are you an experienced teaching assistant with a strong background of work with children with ASD and additional needs? I am currently recruiting for a school based in Bentley Heath that are seeking to appoint an experienced 1-1 teaching assistant for their school. The post is to start as soon as possible with potential to stay for this and next academic year if the school feel you are the correct fit.
For this role you will be involved in 1-1 support of a child in Year 3 who has ASD; therefore, experience working with children who require additional needs is essential and beneficial. You will be focusing on one child to ensure they have the attention necessary to help so they can reach their full potential. Ideally, you will have an understanding of Makaton as this is also a requirement for the role.
You will be working for a lovely school, where staff members are able to know each child individually and uniquely. The successful TA will be nurturing, patient and will genuinely want to make a difference.
