SEN Provision Teaching Assistant - Smethwick
Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Smethwick. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their SEND Provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
- Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
- Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
- Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
