Mainstream secondary schools across Birmingham are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with strong behaviour management to support pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH. This is not a passive support role.

  • Supporting pupils in mainstream lessons
  • De-escalating behaviour calmly and confidently
  • Helping students access work and stay regulated
  • Working closely with teaching staff and SEND teams

You must have:

  • Experience in secondary schools
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour
  • A calm, authoritative presence
  • Flexibility and resilience
