About the Role
QTS SEND teacher for a friendly SEND school (teaching secondary age students performing at a primary level) in Scunthorpe. Are you a passionate and dedicated QTS teacher looking for a new challenge? If you are a primary teacher who wants to teach SEND students, or a secondary teacher who can teach at simplified levels, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a full‑time teacher. All planning is done by the school.
Position Details
- Position: QTS Secondary SEND Teacher (will consider early‑career teachers).
- Monday to Friday, full time (5 days), term time only.
- Start: Immediate.
- Location: Scunthorpe.
- Salary: (Apply online only) per day.
- Working hours: 8.15 – 16.00.
- Subjects: Maths, English and Science.
Responsibilities
As a full‑time teacher, you will teach a small group of children with varying levels of abilities. You will work closely with several dedicated class teaching assistants assigned to the pupils, ensuring each child receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and personally. You will be expected to collaborate with the Primary, Secondary, and SENCO teams to develop a cohesive and challenging education programme for the children, plan your lessons, and deliver engaging lessons that foster a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
Relevant teaching qualification (valid UK QTS) and experience working with primary and secondary school‑aged children. Passion for education, commitment to pupils’ growth, strong understanding of the national curriculum. SEND/SEMH experience is highly useful.
