SEN Tutor – London – £25 - £30 per hour – Full time & Part time available
Aspire People are currently recruiting Tutors to support the learning and development of Children requiring home tutoring. Aspire People is committed to closing the attainment gap for children outside of formal schooling. We work with a wide range of Looked After Children in care who have a diverse set of needs. Tutors provide learning assistance for young people preparing for exams or re-adjusting to mainstream education. We are seeking tutors for home tuition and school-based support, focusing on delivering core skills in English, Maths, Science and behaviour.
Responsibilities
- Support learning and development of Looked After Children and other students requiring home tuition or school-based support.
- Focus on delivering core skills in English, Maths, Science and behaviour support.
- Provide learning assistance to help students prepare for exams and re-adjust to mainstream education.
Skills and Experience
- Teachers for all subjects required, with a particular focus on English, Maths & Science (No QTS needed).
- Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN.
- Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions.
- Valid Enhanced DBS check.
- Excellent written communication and reporting.
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
