Overview
Full-Time until July. Bolton. Aspire People are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary specialist provision in Bolton. This role offers the chance to work with children who have a range of mild to complex needs, including global delay, autism, and non-verbal communication, providing essential support and encouragement in their learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with a range of needs, including global delay, autism, and those who are non-verbal.
- Assist in delivering personalised learning activities, helping children build communication, social, and cognitive skills.
- Help create and maintain a safe and inclusive space for children, promoting positive behaviour and independence.
About You
- Experience working with children with special educational needs in a specialist setting is ideal; mainstream experience is considered.
- Familiarity with working with children who have autism, global delay, and non-verbal communication.
- Compassionate, patient, and proactive, with the ability to adapt your approach to suit each child's individual needs.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with the HLTA and other TAs to meet the needs of each child.
