Aspire People are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the Amber Valley area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties) on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  • Providing emotional and behavioural support to help pupils engage in learning
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Monitoring progress and reporting observations to teaching staff and SENCOs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting SEN pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Aspire People)
