SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School SEN Hub - Shrewsbury - September Start

We are currently recruiting for a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Shrewsbury, working within a dedicated SEN hub from September. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting children with a range of additional needs in a structured and nurturing environment.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils within the school's SEN hub on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting children with a variety of additional needs, including learning, behavioural, and communication difficulties
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support strategies
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils' academic progress as well as their social and emotional development

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs is essential
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification is preferred, but not required
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
