About the Role:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you\’ll work with pupils who may display challenging behaviour due to trauma, anxiety, or unmet emotional needs. You\’ll provide 1:1 support and small group intervention, helping pupils develop positive relationships, regulate their emotions, and engage in learning.

You\’ll work as part of a dedicated and supportive team, creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes personal growth and educational progress.

We\’re Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, or similar challenges

A calm, consistent, and non-judgemental approach

Resilience, empathy, and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively

Teamwork and strong communication skills

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is helpful, but not essential
