We are currently working with a number of friendly and welcoming primary schools across Walsall who are seeking experienced School Receptionists to join their office teams. Schools are looking for candidates who can provide a professional first impression while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. This position requires someone who is calm under pressure, highly organised, and confident communicating with parents, staff, and visitors.
Key Duties
- Welcoming visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed correctly
- Managing incoming calls, messages, and front office enquiries
- Supporting attendance and pupil absence procedures
- Maintaining accurate records using ARBOR, SIMS, and BROMCOM
- Managing visitor badges, signing in procedures, and school security processes
- Assisting with school correspondence and parent communications
- Supporting administrative tasks for leadership and teaching staff
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a primary school office environment
- Confident using ARBOR, SIMS, and/or BROMCOM
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy reception area
- Good IT and administration skills
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within schools

- Candidates must be experienced and able to start immediately
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required
- Candidates without an Enhanced DBS will need to obtain and fund their own DBS check
