Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant Location: Greenwich Contract: Permanent Start date: September 2025 Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant to join a prestigious primary school in Greenwich. You will be supporting teachers in the delivery of engaging and enriching lessons, providing 1:1 and group support for pupils, and helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment. Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant – the school: * A highly regarded primary school in Greenwich with excellent transport links * A nurturing and inclusive school where academic excellence is paired with a focus on emotional and social development * Strong emphasis on personalised learning, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential * A school with strong links to the local community, offering a wide range of extracurricular activities * A dedicated team of professionals working together to create an inspiring and supportive learning environment Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant – responsibilities: * Provide support to the class teacher during lessons and activities * Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans for individual students * Help maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning * Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or other learning barriers * Supervise small groups of students to reinforce learning concepts and improve skills * Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom materials * Work closely with other members of the school team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning * Help with administrative tasks, such as recording pupil progress and preparing displays Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant – requirements: * 2:1 or above from a Russell Group university (academic subjects preferred) * Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the primary curriculum * Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff * Excellent communication skills * Committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education * Previous experience working with young people * Willingness to obtain a DBS How to apply: If this Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant role sounds like something you would be interested in, please don\’t hesitate to apply via this advert.
