SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS) - Rugby
Location: Rugby
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time)
Start Date: As soon as possible (or specify)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for EYFS pupils with SEN (including ASD, speech and language needs, developmental delay, and sensory needs)
- Support children with play‑based learning, routines, and early development goals
- Help pupils develop communication, social, and emotional skills
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support personal care, toileting, and feeding where required (training provided)
- Create a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have experience working with EYFS or nursery‑aged children, ideally with SEN
- Be nurturing, patient, and observant
- Have a good understanding of early child development
- Be able to build positive relationships with young children and staff
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
