SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS) - Rugby

Location: Rugby

Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time)

Start Date: As soon as possible (or specify)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for EYFS pupils with SEN (including ASD, speech and language needs, developmental delay, and sensory needs)
  • Support children with play‑based learning, routines, and early development goals
  • Help pupils develop communication, social, and emotional skills
  • Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support personal care, toileting, and feeding where required (training provided)
  • Create a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have experience working with EYFS or nursery‑aged children, ideally with SEN
  • Be nurturing, patient, and observant
  • Have a good understanding of early child development
  • Be able to build positive relationships with young children and staff
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
