Aspire People are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to join a mainstream primary school in Rochdale as a full-time support staff member in their SEND Nurture Classroom. This position will start on February 23rd and run through until July.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the Nurture Classroom setting.
- Work alongside class teachers and SENCo to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Foster emotional, social, and academic development for children with a range of SEND, including trauma-informed and child-led practices.
- Support students with behavioural challenges, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour strategies.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working in SEND or within a Nurture Classroom setting is desirable.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and child-centred practices.
- Passionate about supporting children with a variety of needs and behaviours.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
