We are seeking a dedicated Forest School SEN Teaching Assistant to join a provision in Rochdale. This full-time, term-time role is ideal for someone with a passion for outdoor learning and a commitment to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to students with various SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Assist with Forest School and outdoor learning sessions.
- Offer 1:1 and small group support for students.
- Help with emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour management.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to meet individual needs.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Interest or experience in Forest School or outdoor education.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to working with children.
- Forest School qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply).
- Full-time, long-term role.
