Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who is comfortable leading learning, supporting classroom management, and working across different year groups.
The Role:
- Delivering planned lessons and learning activities
- Providing whole-class, 1:1, and small-group support
- Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Delivering interventions in Maths, English, phonics, and other curriculum areas
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Supporting assessment and pupil progress
- Working closely with class teachers, senior leaders, and SENCOs
- Preparing resources and supporting wider school activities
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a relevant HLTA, Level 4, or equivalent qualification, or has strong relevant experience
- Has previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar role
- Confident leading lessons and managing a classroom
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Flexible and confident working across different year groups
- Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
