Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Resource-Based Teaching Assistant to support pupils with communication and learning needs in a primary school in Moseley. This role focuses on KS1 pupils, mostly non-verbal, providing targeted support in the resource base. No personal care required.
The Role:
- Support children with communication and learning needs in the resource base.
- Work primarily with KS1 pupils, many of whom are non-verbal.
- Assist with lesson delivery, classroom management, and skill development.
- Encourage independence, engagement, and participation in learning activities.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, and support staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly communication and learning needs.
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Confident working with non-verbal pupils.
