Teaching Assistant (SEND Hub) - Stechford

Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Aspire People are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Stechford that is seeking a dedicated TA to join their on-site SEND Hub.
Responsibilities
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for a small group of non-verbal pupils within the SEND Hub
- Assisting with communication, using tools such as PECs or Makaton (experience is desirable but not essential)
- Supporting pupils with personal care needs
- Promoting independence, engagement, and emotional well-being
- Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver high-quality learning experiences
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a school or similar setting
- Comfortable providing personal care
- Patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of non-verbal communication
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of each child
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
