Experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Do you have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and recent experience working in a UK primary school? Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants for primary schools from September 2026. We're looking for reliable and enthusiastic practitioners who already understand the demands of working in a school and can confidently support pupils both academically and pastorally. This is ideal for a TA who has built up solid classroom experience and wants to secure a new role for the upcoming academic year.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with classroom learning and differentiated activities
- Supporting Reading, Writing and Maths
- Delivering basic interventions under teacher direction
- Supporting pupils with SEND where required
- Helping maintain positive classroom routines
- Supporting behaviour and pupil engagement
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes and transitions
- Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
We're Looking For:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Recent experience working within a UK primary school
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum
- Experience supporting classroom learning and/or interventions
- Confident working with primary-aged children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
Candidates with experience supporting SEND, SEMH or pupils with additional learning needs would be particularly attractive to many of our partner schools.
