Are you a creative and passionate Art Teacher looking for a new teaching opportunity in Peterborough from January 2027? Aspire People are recruiting for a talented Secondary Art Teacher to join a school in the Peterborough area for the new term. The school is looking for a teacher who can bring Art to life in the classroom, encourage creativity and confidence, and support pupils of different abilities to develop their artistic skills. This is ideally a full-time position, although strong applicants seeking part-time Art teaching work are also encouraged to apply.
The role will involve:
- Teaching Art across the secondary age range
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging and inclusive Art lessons
- Supporting pupils to explore different materials, techniques and artistic styles
- Developing pupils' practical skills, creativity and confidence
- Assessing work and providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contributing positively to the Art department and wider school community
We are looking for:
- A qualified or experienced Art Teacher / Art & Design Teacher
- QTS, QTLS or an appropriate teaching qualification
- Strong Art subject knowledge
- Experience teaching within a UK secondary school environment
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management
- The ability to inspire pupils and encourage creativity
- A positive, reliable and professional approach
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- References covering the required safeguarding period
