THE ROLE
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care, education and support to children aged 0-5 years. You will work as part of a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and reach their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS framework.
- Provide high-quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Create engaging, stimulating and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Plan and participate in activities that support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
- Recognise and respond to each child's individual needs, interests and stage of development.
- Encourage children's confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
- Assist with planning and delivering activities that promote learning and development.
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare - essential.
- Paediatric First Aid - desirable.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient and positive approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
