We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Greater Manchester. This is a genuinely rewarding role where no two days are the same, and every small achievement feels like a big win. You’ll work closely with an experienced team including class teachers, the SENCO, pastoral staff and skilled support assistants, with access to excellent facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in class support across either KS1 or KS2
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Help pupils access learning and stay engaged throughout the school day
  • Support classroom routines, transitions and breaktimes
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to monitor progress and wellbeing

Requirements

  • Experience with children/young people (schools, care, youth work, coaching or similar)
  • A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils
  • A degree would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to support personal care if required
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
