Aspire People are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Nottingham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs and help them achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties)
- Support pupils both academically and emotionally within the classroom
- Work closely with class teachers and SEN coordinators to implement tailored learning strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment
- Assist with personal care where required (depending on the setting)
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
