KS1 Teacher
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspiring KS1 Teacher to join our supportive school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
- Teach and support pupils in phonics, early reading, writing, mathematics and other areas of the curriculum.
- Create a stimulating, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess pupils' learning and use assessment information to inform future planning and teaching.
- Monitor and track pupil progress, identifying areas for development and providing appropriate support.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and those requiring additional challenge.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence and a love of learning.
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
- Work effectively with teaching assistants and other members of the school team.
- Contribute to wider school activities, events and the life of the school.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to meetings regarding pupils' progress and development.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience of teaching in KS1, although enthusiastic ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Has a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the needs of young learners.
- Has a secure understanding of phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics.
- Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
- Is creative, enthusiastic and able to deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Has high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- Is patient, caring, approachable and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Is committed to inclusion and meeting the needs of every child.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and families.
- Is organised, reliable and reflective in their approach to teaching.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
