Are you a compassionate and skilled teacher with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs? We're looking for experienced 1:1 SEN Tutors to join our growing team in Stoke-on-Trent, working with children and young people aged 3 to 18 with various additional needs and disabilities. This role is ideal for teachers who want to make a real difference through personalised, impactful education and help students with SEN needs to progress into adult life successfully.
The right candidate will be able to:
- Provide individualised support to students with a variety of SEN, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
- Work with students both in school and in alternative settings (e.g., at home or in the community), depending on the individual needs of each learner.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver your own lessons, tailored to each student's goals, abilities, and learning style.
Hours are flexible but must fall within school hours (8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday).
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Confidence in designing and delivering bespoke lesson plans
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with learners and families
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Adaptable, empathetic, and child-centred approach
- Able to work autonomously and record all progress consistently and honestly
Location: Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas - applicants must be able to travel locally.
