Aspire People are recruiting for a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis with an immediate start.
This is an excellent opportunity for a DT specialist who can confidently teach Woodwork/Resistant Materials alongside other areas of the Design & Technology curriculum. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about practical learning and able to engage students of all abilities in a safe, well-managed workshop environment.
The Role
- Full-time DT teaching position in a secondary school
- Immediate start available
- Teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology
- Delivering engaging practical and theory lessons
- Strong focus on Woodwork/Resistant Materials
- Ability to teach additional DT disciplines such as Product Design, Construction, Engineering or Graphics would be advantageous
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and workshop safety
We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary setting
- Confident delivering Woodwork/Resistant Materials lessons
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passion for practical, hands-on learning
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
