Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students in a variety of subjects.
- Provide one-on-one support to children who need additional help, including those with learning difficulties or special educational needs (SEN).
- Help set up and prepare classroom activities, ensuring resources are available.
- Support children's social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Monitor and track the progress of individual students, providing feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with the classroom's day-to-day routines, including lunch and break times.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
- Patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with young learners.
- Excellent in communication skills, both with children and adults.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of individual students.
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
- Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) is desirable, but not essential.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
