Aspire People are looking to recruit a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to support primary and SEN school settings across Middleton. This is a class-based position working with pupils across a range of year groups, with a strong focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
The Role:
- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Delivering targeted support to pupils with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning and support plans
- Providing 1:1 support and leading small group interventions where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion within the classroom environment
Requirements:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
- Previous experience working in a school-based TA role
- Strong SEN experience is essential
- Confidence supporting pupils across different primary age groups
- A flexible, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
Desirable:
- Experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and intervention delivery
- Team Teach or equivalent training (beneficial but not essential)
