We are working in partnership with a secondary school in Wolverhampton to recruit a Maths Teacher for a long-term position starting this term. The role will involve teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4, supporting students of mixed abilities and contributing to a supportive and well-established Maths department. This opportunity is suitable for experienced teachers as well as ECTs looking to gain valuable experience in a long-term setting.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging and structured Maths lessons
- Teaching KS3 and KS4 classes
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Assessing, marking and tracking student progress
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Working collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
