Aspire People are recruiting for an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school on a full-time long-term basis from September. The school would ideally like to meet suitable candidates as soon as possible and may offer the opportunity to begin working within the school before the end of the current academic year. Due to the importance of SATs preparation and the demands of Year 6, the school has specified they are looking for an experienced teacher rather than an ECT for this role.

The Role Will Include:

  • Full teaching responsibilities within a Year 6 class
  • Delivering high-quality lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum
  • Preparing pupils for SATs and secondary school transition
  • Supporting attainment, confidence, and pupil wellbeing
  • Monitoring and assessing progress effectively
  • Maintaining strong classroom behaviour and routines
  • Working closely with the KS2 team and leadership staff

The school is open to discussing alternative KS2 year groups depending on the successful candidate's experience and strengths; however, experience within Upper KS2 is highly desirable.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has recent experience teaching within KS2 in a UK primary school
  • Confident preparing pupils for end-of-year expectations
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment
