Aspire People is working in close partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Central Manchester, who are seeking a qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a full-time role within a Nursery/Reception setting, supporting children at a crucial stage of their development. The school places strong importance on early language, routine, emotional wellbeing, and learning through play, and offers a supportive environment where staff are genuinely valued.

The Role

  • Support children within Nursery and/or Reception through play-based learning
  • Assist with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, including phonics, early maths, and communication
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
  • Support children with personal care, routines, and transitions
  • Help create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Observe and record progress to support assessment and planning
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
  • Has recent experience working within EYFS in a school or nursery setting
  • Has a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
  • Is caring, patient, and confident supporting young children
  • Communicates effectively with staff, parents, and pupils
  • Is committed to safeguarding and child wellbeing
