Aspire People is working in close partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Central Manchester, who are seeking a qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a full-time role within a Nursery/Reception setting, supporting children at a crucial stage of their development. The school places strong importance on early language, routine, emotional wellbeing, and learning through play, and offers a supportive environment where staff are genuinely valued.
The Role
- Support children within Nursery and/or Reception through play-based learning
- Assist with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, including phonics, early maths, and communication
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
- Support children with personal care, routines, and transitions
- Help create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Observe and record progress to support assessment and planning
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Has recent experience working within EYFS in a school or nursery setting
- Has a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
- Is caring, patient, and confident supporting young children
- Communicates effectively with staff, parents, and pupils
- Is committed to safeguarding and child wellbeing
