Aspire is supporting a highly regarded primary school in central Salford in their search for an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join their Year 1 or Year 2 team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help pupils build strong foundations in reading, writing and maths while fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the KS1 National Curriculum.
  • Take a lead role in the teaching of phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy.
  • Use ongoing assessment and data to monitor progress and inform next steps.
  • Create a positive, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and colleagues to support all learners, including those with additional needs.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, communicating regularly about pupil progress and wellbeing.

We are looking for a KS1 Teacher who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Has experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 and/or Year 2).
  • Has a secure understanding of phonics and early literacy strategies.
  • Is energetic, reflective and able to inspire confidence and independence in pupils.
  • Possesses strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach.
