Aspire is supporting a highly regarded primary school in central Salford in their search for an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join their Year 1 or Year 2 team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help pupils build strong foundations in reading, writing and maths while fostering a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Take a lead role in the teaching of phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy.
- Use ongoing assessment and data to monitor progress and inform next steps.
- Create a positive, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and colleagues to support all learners, including those with additional needs.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, communicating regularly about pupil progress and wellbeing.
We are looking for a KS1 Teacher who
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Has experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 and/or Year 2).
- Has a secure understanding of phonics and early literacy strategies.
- Is energetic, reflective and able to inspire confidence and independence in pupils.
- Possesses strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach.
- Is committed to raising standards and contributing positively to school life.
