Aspire People are seeking a male Teaching Assistant to join the supportive team at an incredible SEMH school located in Northampton. Due to specific student care needs, this role requires a male member of staff - this constitutes a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
About the Role
You will be working with children and young people with additional needs, providing:
- 1:1 and small-group support
- Behavioural and emotional regulation assistance
- Classroom support alongside teachers
- Help with daily routines and pastoral care
What we're looking for
- Experience working with children or young people (school, care, SEN, or similar)
- Patience, resilience, and a supportive nature
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships
- Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
