Aspire People are currently looking for an Early Years SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming setting in Loughborough. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and has experience supporting children with special educational needs.

You will provide practical and emotional support to children within the early years environment, helping them feel settled, confident and ready to learn.

The Role

  • Support children with a range of additional needs within an Early Years setting
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
  • Help children develop their communication, social and independence skills
  • Support with sensory needs and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to follow individual support plans
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement through a calm, nurturing approach
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
  • Experience within an Early Years, nursery or school environment
  • A patient, caring and supportive approach
  • Understanding of autism, communication needs or other additional needs would be beneficial
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
