We are seeking a capable and experienced School Office Administrator to support a number of primary, secondary, and SEND schools across the Shrewsbury area. This role is ideal for someone who is confident stepping into new environments and can quickly adapt to the needs of different school offices. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative functions, contributing to a well-organised and professional school environment.
Key Duties
- Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors, parents, and external agencies
- Managing high volumes of calls, emails, and general enquiries
- Supporting safeguarding procedures, including signing-in processes and DBS compliance
- Updating and maintaining student data using ARBOR, SIMS, and BROMCOM
- Monitoring attendance and assisting with reporting procedures
- Providing administrative support to senior leaders and wider school staff
- Organising meetings, correspondence, and internal communications
- Maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information appropriately
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience within a school administration or office role
- Working knowledge of ARBOR, SIMS, and BROMCOM
- Confident working across primary, secondary, and SEND settings
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Professional communication skills and a proactive approach
- Able to work independently and integrate quickly into new teams

This role requires prior experience – no training will be provided. Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one at their own cost.
