We are currently seeking an inspiring and hands-on Horticulture Lecturer to join a specialist Special Educational Needs (SEN) college in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong horticulture experience who is passionate about supporting learners to develop practical skills, confidence, and independence in a nurturing and supportive environment.
The Role
- Delivering practical horticulture-based learning sessions
- Supporting learners on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Following pre-prepared lesson plans while adapting to learner needs
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Helping learners build employability and life skills
About You
- Strong, proven experience in horticulture or gardening-related work (essential)
- Teaching, training, or mentoring experience desirable
- QTS not required - industry experience is key
- Experience supporting learners with additional needs is highly desirable
- Patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about hands-on learning
- Confident working in outdoor/practical environments
