Aspire People are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND and social, emotional, and mental health needs across a range of primary and secondary schools.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion and enjoys helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
The Role May Include
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with SEND, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Working with pupils who have SEMH and behavioural needs
- Helping pupils manage emotions and develop positive coping strategies
- Supporting classroom learning and differentiated activities Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
- Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times

- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- Experience supporting SEND, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Able to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
