Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leicester for a full-time Teaching Assistant to start in September. The Role
- Supporting students both in and out of the classroom
- Assisting teachers with the delivery of lessons and learning activities
- Helping to manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement
- Building strong, professional relationships with pupils
- Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Experience within a PRU, alternative provision, SEN setting, or mainstream school is advantageous
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- The ability to remain professional in challenging situations
- A genuine desire to support young people in overcoming barriers to education
