Pay: £105 per day

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 5 days a week

Aspire People have partnered with a specialist SEN school in Leicester who are looking for a caring, resilient and experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role would suit someone who has a genuine passion for supporting children with complex and additional needs and understands that every pupil requires an individual approach.

About the Role

You will work closely with teachers and specialist support staff to provide personalised support to pupils, helping them access learning and develop their communication, independence and confidence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with complex and additional needs
  • Helping children access learning and classroom activities
  • Supporting communication and social development
  • Assisting with emotional regulation and sensory needs
  • Encouraging independence and life skills
  • Following individual learning and support plans
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals

We’re Looking For

Previous experience working with children with SEN or complex needs is essential. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with additional or complex needs
  • Be patient, caring and compassionate
  • Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Have a calm and resilient approach
  • Understand that every child has different needs and abilities
  • Be comfortable supporting communication, sensory and behavioural needs
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be reliable and committed to working Monday-Friday
