Are you a highly passionate and experienced SEN TA? Do you have extensive SEN experience, working with young people with complex needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Leeds. This is a TA position, offering support across the whole school on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a range of complex and behavioural needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEN and behavioural challenges
  • Provide flexible support across different classrooms and year groups as required
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to implement individualised learning plans
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and meetings
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil independence and confidence

About you:

  • A flexible and adaptable team player, willing to work across the whole school
  • Experience supporting children with a variety of additional needs and behavioural challenges is required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A proactive and patient approach to supporting learning and behaviour
  • Previous experience in a similar SEN TA or support role is desirable
  • Psychology degree / background would be advantageous
