What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver 1:1 support for students aged 16+ with ASD and additional SEND needs.
  • Assist students in academic lessons and practical activities such as café/shop operations, landscaping, animal care, and work placements.
  • Promote independence, life skills, and confidence.
  • Help create a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals to tailor support to individual student needs.
  • Encourage positive social interaction, emotional regulation, and practical skill development.

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting SEND students, ideally in a school, college, care, residential, or youth work setting.
  • Patient, compassionate, and flexible with a strong passion for helping young people succeed.
  • Skilled in building trusting relationships and adapting support to individual needs.
  • Reliable, proactive, and fully committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Must hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS check.
