Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a popular and growing primary school in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key responsibilities:

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support children in Years 3-6. Your role will include:

* Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential.
* Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
* Supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and ensuring inclusivity in the classroom.
* Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
* Supervising children during break times and school activities.
* Supporting the teacher with administrative tasks and classroom preparation.

Requirements:

* Has experience working with children, ideally in a KS2 setting.
* 2:1 or above from a reputable UK university (academic subjects preferred)
* Has a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
* Is patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff.
* Has strong communication and organisational skills.
* Is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
* Willingness to obtain a DBS.
