Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? This role offers the chance to work 1:1 with a child in Key Stage 2, providing tailored support and helping them engage with their learning. You'll play a vital role in their development, both academically and socially, ensuring they feel included and confident in their abilities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 student with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate in class activities.
- Offer emotional support and guidance, helping the child build positive social skills.
- Work closely with the class teacher to create and adapt learning strategies to support the child's needs.
- Track and report the child's progress, providing insights and suggestions for future learning goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is highly desirable.
