KS1 Long-Term Supply Teacher - Leicester
Location: Leicester Salary: 140- 160 per day Contract: Long-term supply Start Date: Immediate / ongoing
Aspire People are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated QTS-qualified KS1 Teacher to join a primary school in Leicester on a long-term supply basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with younger pupils and is passionate about building strong foundations in learning. You will play a key role in supporting children's early academic, social and emotional development while creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
The Role
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons across Key Stage 1
- Support pupils in developing their early reading, writing and maths skills
- Plan and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
- Create a nurturing, structured and stimulating classroom environment
- Establish positive relationships with pupils and encourage confidence in learning
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support development
- Promote positive behaviour, independence and classroom participation
- Work closely with colleagues and school leadership to support the wider learning environment
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching within a primary school, ideally across KS1
- A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early learning development
- Effective classroom management and lesson delivery skills
- A patient, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
