Aspire People are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support within a KS1 classroom at a supportive primary school. The successful candidate will have strong curriculum knowledge and experience delivering interventions to help pupils progress academically and build confidence within the classroom environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young learners and working collaboratively as part of a strong school team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
  • Delivering phonics, reading, and numeracy interventions
  • Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Supporting children of mixed abilities to stay engaged in learning
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have recent UK primary school experience
  • Hold a Level 2 TA qualification or relevant experience
  • Have good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics schemes
  • Be confident delivering intervention work independently
  • Be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
  • Have strong behaviour management and communication skills
